About

"When I meditate I empty my mind.

When I paint I fill it."

Dyann Klein is an abstract artist whose vibrant works arise from an intuitive and exploratory process. She works primarily in acrylics, watercolor, and ink; mediums that support her fluid, gestural approach. Each painting develops organically as she experiments with color, shape, texture, and form. Her expressive movements guide the composition. What begins as an instinctive mark evolves into a dynamic flow. The viewer’s eye moves through the visual field creating a sense of energy and continuity.

Her influences span from Abstract Expressionism, Asian art, the Old Masters, her extensive global travel, and the natural contours and rhythms of nature.

With a background in Art Therapy, Klein brings a heightened sensitivity to how her work may affect the viewer. She hopes her paintings evoke an emotional response, creating a subtle dialogue between artist and audience.

Her work has been seen in notable film and television productions, including Saturday Night Live, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, John Wick, Blue Bloods, and Severance, among other productions.

Dyann Klein lives and works in Manhattan and continues to create during her travels.

Her paintings offer a moment of connection—an invitation to experience movement, emotion, and visual rhythm.
